Analyst, Delivery Speed and Long-term Planning, GTS Field
Global transportation analytical teams are centers of expertise, composed of engineers, analysts, scientists, technical program managers, and developers. We are focused on Amazon’s most complex problems, processes, and decisions. We work with fulfillment centers, transportation, software developers, finance, and retail teams across the world, to improve our logistic infrastructure and algorithms. Our overall mission is simple: we want Amazon to be the place where our customers can receive their packages the next day.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Use and share your insights with partner teams, to build a roadmap of projects to accelerate speed of deliveries in your country.
2. Launch programmes, monitor performance metrics, and report on the status of key objectives that affect deliverables across a mix of process improvement and technical projects.
3. Consolidate progress into crisp and concise data-driven status updates. You will own reporting to Amazon senior leadership (VP-level).
4. Deep dive complex data using SQL (>10TB) to uncover actionable insights for known and unknown problems.
5. Use data to control/audit if our supply chain is behaving as expected, and automate the identification of improvement opportunities across dozens of dimensions.
A Day in the Life
You will support the team in defining the overall delivery speed strategy across Europe. The role is an exciting blend of analytical and project management responsibilities, with your time divided equally across the two.
About the Team
The EU Speed team is part of the EU Global Transportation Services (GTS) organization whose goal is to optimize the EU end-to-end transportation and transfer network for Delivery Estimate Accuracy (DEA), Speed, Cost, and Carbon Intensity, through all phases: design, planning, and execution.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
2. Relevant experience in an analytical role leading a project or programme and partnering with multiple stakeholders within a business.
3. Relevant experience in using data analytics to solve problems such as customer, partner, or business performance issues.
4. Relevant experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
5. Basic SQL knowledge.
6. Intermediate proficiency in verbal and written English and in the local language.
