Job Title: Adult Social Worker – Community Team – Newquay
Location: Newquay/Cornwall
Pay Rate: £32/per hour

Responsibilities:
* Work with team members and multi-disciplinary team members from other agencies to meet the needs of vulnerable adults, operating as an effective member of the operational team.
* Ensure the views and wishes of individuals and carers are given appropriate consideration and are central to all decision making, including completing MCA and Best Interest decision making.
* Act to protect adults in need of support services in line with legal requirements, including completing safeguarding enquiries and self-neglect interventions.
* Promote independence, prevention, re-ablement, and self-determination, facilitating effective communication with families, carers, individuals, and other agencies.
* Be based within travel distance of Watergate PCN or have the ability to travel as required daily into the area.
Requirements:
* Social worker qualified with a Social Work Degree, Social Work Qualification (Dip. SW) or equivalent, and registered with Social Work England.
* Expert knowledge and experience of relevant legislation, social work theory, policy and principles, evidenced in practice.
* Previous experience of working in a social care environment with a proven track record of excellent strengths-based practice.
* Ability to undertake, analyse and translate complex assessments of need, risks, and strengths.
* Proficiency in recognising and responding to behaviour that may indicate resistance to change, and the ability to deliver difficult messages.
* Ability to form strong professional relationships with partners within a multi-disciplinary setting.
* A high level of written and verbal communication skills.
