Hours of Work: 21 Hours (3 Days Per Week)
Place of Work: Derry Diocesan Office, Bishop’s House, St Eugene’s Cathedral, Francis Street, Derry
Job Role: Reporting to the Executive Director, Derry Diocesan Trust is recruiting an Administrative Officer to assist in the smooth running of Derry Diocesan Trust.
The post requires the individual to be self-motivated, confident and competent in written and oral communication and to be an effective organiser.
The postholder will be expected to demonstrate initiative and discretion whilst carrying out duties.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Assisting diocesan staff in administrative tasks
2. Entering data, maintaining databases, keeping records and maintaining filing systems
3. Organising meetings and scheduling appointments
4. Preparing documentation and taking detailed minutes of meetings of Diocesan Committees
5. Supporting the work of Diocesan Committees
6. Typing presentations and correspondence
7. Assisting with preparation and maintenance of reports in the areas of finance, HR and property
8. Assisting with the preparation of year-end financial reports
9. Implementing and maintaining procedures/administrative systems
10. Reading, monitoring, and responding to email messages
11. Ensuring that all records, manual and/or computerised are held securely and all information is treated as confidential
12. Any other reasonable administrative duties.
