Summary
During this apprenticeship you will report to the Jackson's Wimborne Office. This opportunity will provide excellent training in mechanical, electrical, electronic and hydraulic engineering relating to the service, repair, modernisation and installation of a wide range of lift-associated equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
Duties will include:
* Working alongside experienced lift engineers
* Application of the use of tools
* Risk assessing safety critical environments
* Carrying out the servicing of lift equipment
* Investigating lift breakdowns
* Replacing worn/damaged equipment
* Modernising existing lift equipment

Full training and support will be given via work-based learning. The successful applicant will be expected to achieve the following:
* Level 3 NVQ in Engineering Maintenance - Lift or Escalator Service and Repair
* Lift and Escalator Industry Association distance learning units

Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
* English (grade A* -C (4-9))
* Maths (grade A* -C (4-9))
BTEC or equivalent in:
* Engineering (grade Pass)
Desirable qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
* Science (grade 9-4 (A*-C))
