What skills and experience we're looking for
NVQ level 3(or equivalent)
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills

Experience of working within a school setting
Ability to demonstrate knowledge and use a wide range of ICT systems and packages
Ability to interpret advice and Local Authority guidance and share with relevant stakeholders
Ability to manage staff and assist with recruitment, induction and training
Ability to understand and relate well to children and adults
Ability to work constructively as part of a team

Ability to motivate, persuade, negotiate and influence others
Ability to identify own training needs and willingness to participate in training and development opportunities

Maintain a professional approach at all times, including when dealing with difficult/complex matters.
Experience of financial administration in a school setting
Experience of utilising the E5 finance system for both routine transactions and more complex matters such as budget setting and monitoring
Management of Nursery funding
Experience of reconciling salaries and producing finance reports
Experience of reconciling petty cash
Experience of using the iTrent system for staffing claims and absence reporting
Knowledge of the documentation required by School Employee Services relating to the appointment and payment of teaching and support staff including addendum to contracts
Experience of recruitment correspondence and documentation
Experience of maintaining Single Central Record ensuring adherence to Keeping Children Safe in Education and Safer Recruitment
Knowledge of the appropriate checks and procedures including induction to be followed for all staff
Awareness of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person
Knowledge of statutory health and safety requirements within a school setting
Oversee the production of appropriate records relating to health and safety, e.g. fire safety records and statutory maintenance
Arrange both reactive and proactive premises maintenance
