About us:
B&V Chemicals is a UK-based company specialising in water treatment chemicals and associated services. We provide a wide range of chemical products and solutions aimed at controlling water quality, preventing scaling, corrosion, microbiological growth, and maintaining the efficiency of industrial and commercial water systems.
This role will be based from our Daventry office - 4 Lamport Drive, Daventry, NN11 8YZ.
Purpose of the role:
Supporting the Transport & Operations Teams by planning and managing daily deliveries to end users in the most efficient manner. This role will play a critical part in this organisation’s operations by optimising and utilising each vehicle's daily deliveries and collections ensuring all meet customers’ expectations. Responsibilities also include building relationships with in house driver team and supporting their use of transport applications as well as working across operations and transport teams to harmonise processes.
Requirements:
* Planning vehicles and routes efficiently using a transport planning software.
* Coordinating and utilising subcontractors
* Managing and planning of emergency orders
* Liaising with Customer Services and Account management teams for service-related queries
* Responding promptly to route feedback and ensuring improvement opportunities are acted upon.
* Ensuring all key vehicle information is kept up to date on the system relating to delivery points.
* Providing monthly KPI reports
* Address on day scheduling and delivery problems and proactively work with other departments to rectify them.
* Ensuring internal drivers have the relevant deliveries assigned to them ready, along with any documents required to transport goods as well as site specific documentation when required.

* Previous experience of working within a transport planning department is essential
* Highly organised with proven ability to plan and prioritise your workload and work calmly and methodically in a busy environment.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, with a strong attention to detail.
