Tradewind are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work with complex needs Position: SEN Teaching Assistant working with complex needs Location: South Manchester, Didsbury (M20) Setting: Specialist School. Contract: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm (could turn permanent for the right person). Salary: Up to £100/day (DOE). If so, then this school needs you Role: Supporting Primary aged pupils in small groups or 1:1 with Special Needs, including Autism, ADHD or Social, Emotional difficulties (SEMH) that can result in challenging behaviours. Class sizes of no more than 10 students with at least two support staff in each. Based at an SEMH Primary School special needs Primary Provision in the South Manchester, Stretford (M32) area catering for young people aged 5-11 with significant needs and behavioral challenges. Promoting a safe, inclusive and fun working environment. Collaborating with the SEN team, senior leaders, heads of departments, parents and carers, social workers, and other professionals in the child's multidisciplinary team. Requirements: To succeed in this Behaviour Mentor role, you must: Have the legal right to work in the UK. Provide a CV with a full history. Have a DBS on the Update Service (or be prepared to get a new one). Min of two professional references. Overseas Police Checks (if applicable). Previous school based experience. Previous PRU experience is beneficial but not required. Candidates with experience as a Teaching Assistant, Primary Experience, SEN Teaching Assistant, Special Needs Teaching Assistant, Special Needs Support Worker, Youth Worker, Residential Support Worker, Sports Coach, Pastoral Support Worker, Learning Support Assistant, Learning Mentor or Behaviour Mentor will be considered.
