The Role
Due to our continued growth, we are delighted to confirm that we are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager for our Oldham site. This role involves delivering planned and reactive maintenance works across this established Social Housing contract. You will lead a team of contractors to ensure safe and effective delivery of works.
The Project
1. Read, understand, and comply with Company Policies and Procedures at all times.
2. Ensure that Company Health & Safety Policies and procedures are strictly adhered to and work closely with Health & Safety Managers and Advisors.
3. Maintain and produce, on request, up-to-date Health & Safety records.
4. Ensure all Environmental and Waste Management Policies are adhered to.
5. Ensure that all staff, sub-contractors, and visitors to the site are appropriately inducted.
6. Fully comply with the Company's Customer Satisfaction Policy and Procedures.
7. Ensure all directly employed personnel work within the required specification and adhere to general Company Policies.
8. Motivate, support, and manage directly employed site staff. Provide training, coaching, appraisal, and support as required to improve performance.
9. Ensure site presentation is maintained at the correct standard at all times.
10. Organise regular site meetings and pre-plan to ensure efficient usage of all resources.
Essential and Desirable Criteria
Essential Criteria:
1. Minimum level 4 qualification (NVQ4 or HNC).
2. SMSTS.
3. Scaffold inspection.
4. Role Appropriate CSCS card.
5. First Aid at work certificate.
6. Asbestos awareness (duty to manage would be desirable).
7. Excellent understanding of building refurbishment works (high rise experience is desirable).
8. Valid driver's license.
9. Confident and comfortable with engaging, managing, and communicating with all levels of supply chain members, from directors/owners to operatives on the ground.
10. Comfortable reviewing & challenging sub-contract RAMS prior to final review from the HSEC team.
Desirable:
1. CIOB or Construction related membership.
2. Knowledge and understanding of ASTA.
3. Experience of delivering projects for an Affordable housing Client, particularly refurbishment projects.
4. Experience of working alongside a customer liaison officer to ensure access and information is communicated to residents.
5. Knowledge of working with different contracts JCT/NEC.
6. Quality assurance.
7. Temporary works knowledge.
