This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a talented Finance Internal Controls specialist with international experience to join our growing Finance team to set the vision for financial controls across the business and influence others to deliver inline with this vision. As the subject matter expert for the group, you will create a culture of excellence across the Biocair businesses to mitigate risks and protect Company assets.
The Global Head of Finance Internal Controls & Compliance will play a critical role in leading the deployment of internal finance controls across the Biocair legal entities, ensuring there is a robust and effective controls environment that addresses risks and meets internal and external standards and requirements across the global footprint.

Biocair’s geographical footprint spans from America to China, and Europe to South Africa, so international travel will be an essential part of fulfilling your role.
Responsibilities will include:
* Policy Management - establishing and maintaining the company repository of Finance Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and templates.
* Finance Internal Controls and Compliance training - defining an ongoing program of training considering the range of Corruption Risk Index guidance for specific countries and entities within the Biocair group of companies.
* Testing and Evidence Gathering - evidencing the effectiveness of the Finance Internal Controls environment and leading in the remediation of any identified deficiencies.
* Internal Audit Interface - being the primary Finance interface for the Shareholder Internal Audit function.
* Compliance - developing and managing monitoring controls to ensure all statutory and regulatory Finance compliance deliverables are fulfilled to the required quality and timelines.
* Risk Management - establishing Risk Assessment and Risk Management methodologies and being Finance representative on the Biocair Risk Management Committee.

Please note this role is offered as hybrid from our Cambridge Office (CB22 3EG) with a minimum of 2 days per week onsite. This is a part-time role, 28 hours per week, and whilst core hours are usually Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:30, please note that we are open to flexible hours and the potential to fulfil the total hours over 4 or 5 days for this role.
This is a UK based role and the right to live and work in the UK will need to be established during the recruitment process. Please note we are not currently a Home Office visa sponsorship licence holder.
