About the Role
This exciting opportunity has arisen within ESP Utilities Group Ltd for an Asset Management Strategist to join our team.
As an Asset Management Strategist, you will play a key role in supporting the Head of Assets in engaging with industry and regulatory forums. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that ESP Utilities Group Ltd complies with and manages the risk of regulatory reform. You will develop and implement a strategy and action plan to guarantee that we have suitable policies in place to address compliance of networks adoption and asset data completion.
You will be responsible for implementing processes, reporting, and assurance frameworks to ensure safety & compliance requirements are met, including retention of ISO55001 and any other Company accreditations.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Developing, reviewing, and maintaining policy associated with all aspects of connections and asset management policy.
* Ensuring compliance with company policy and national and international standards across distribution.
* Working to develop and monitor robust policies, processes, and procedures of asset data capture and management to ensure regulatory and statutory compliance with license obligations.
* Ensuring asset records are accurate and suitable to meet regulatory requirements and minimise risk – this includes leading audits on completion records.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Understanding of the Regulatory and HSE Framework.
* Knowledge of the philosophy and principles relating to the design of electricity distribution networks and asset management.
* Broad knowledge of the electricity industry Standards, Recommendations, Specifications, and Legislation relevant to the construction and operation of electricity distribution networks.
* Computer Literate and data analytics.
* Brings an energetic and curious approach to problem-solving. Ability to innovate and to embed continuous improvement and innovation through cross-department collaboration.
* An ability to adopt a wider perspective than the immediate bounds of the job description.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
* Excellent relationship management skills.
* Comfortable working in a team environment.
