Main duties of the job
We serve different age cohorts across the city of Derby and wider county of Derbyshire (north and south of Derbyshire), in hospital settings for intensive support whenever needed. Our services include acute, rehabilitation and low secure psychiatric services, child & adolescent mental health, health visiting, school nursing, substance misuse, eating disorders, learning disabilities and lots more. Job responsibilities
The post holder will:
1. Work as part of a team responsible for the delivery of Patient/Client Centred Care.
2. Promote and support service user and carer involvement as autonomy and choices are an integral part of the philosophy of the Trust.
3. Respond to the needs of people in an honest, non-judgemental and open manner which respects the rights of individuals and groups.
4. Work closely with colleagues to ensure that clinical services are delivered to the highest standard and in accordance with the most recent evidence based guidance.
5. As a registered nurse, be personally accountable for your professional practice that will be delivered in accordance with the legal and professional responsibilities outlined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
6. Ensure that services are provided in a safe and supportive environment and at all times adopt a professional approach to your work promoting a positive image to services users/carers and the general public.
7. Always act in a way which reflects both the word and spirit of the Trust's Values and Principles.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Evidence of recent clinical training.
Experience
* 1 year post qualification.
* Minimum of 6 months experience in a mental health / inpatient setting.
