Teaching Personnel are actively recruiting for a specialist, dedicated teaching assistant to work in an OFSTED rated "Good" mainstream secondary school within the Coventry area.
This will be on a full time basis with the view to a permanent contract.
Pay Rate: £84-95 per day dependent upon experience
Person Specification:
- GCSEs in English and Maths
- Previous experience in a teaching assistant role or similar supporting position
- Experience working with/personal experience supporting children with special educational needs
- Passion for education and supporting pupils in their learning and development
Job Role:
- Support students on a focused small group and 1:1 basis to cater to various learning needs
- Support the main class teacher and be directed by them
- Be autonomous and use own initiative to instigate activities/learning opportunities
- Communicate effectively with the class teacher and other members of staff within the wider school environment
- Be a listening ear and build good working relationships with both pupils and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
