About Our Client:

With a diverse and dynamic portfolio, they manage procurement, capital investment, estates and property, as well as commercial functions such as quantity surveying. As they continue to evolve and expand, they are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Procurement Director to lead and optimise their procurement and commercial operations.
The Role:
Our client is looking for an exceptional Procurement Director to shape and drive the organisation’s procurement strategy. This senior leadership role will oversee all procurement activities, ensuring operational efficiency, strategic alignment, and value delivery across capital projects, estates, and commercial operations. Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, the successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering supplier relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving innovation in procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a best-in-class procurement strategy aligned with organisational goals.
* Lead and manage procurement activities, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and supply chain resilience.
* Oversee capital procurement, ensuring the successful delivery of high-value projects.
* Manage the estates and property procurement portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment and sustainability objectives.
* Cultivate strategic supplier relationships to enhance performance and long-term partnerships.
* Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, governance frameworks, and best practices.
* Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing procurement and commercial team.
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and innovation in procurement practices.
The Ideal Candidate:

* Extensive experience in procurement leadership within a large, complex business.
* Strong expertise in leading teams across capital procurement, estates and property management, and commercial functions.
* A track record of delivering high-value procurement projects and achieving strategic cost savings.
* Deep knowledge of procurement regulations, best practices, and supply chain optimisation.
* Proven leadership skills, with the ability to develop and inspire high-performing teams.
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at the executive level.
* Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIPS, RICS) are highly desirable.
* Proven experience working with in public procurement with exceptional knowledge of the upcoming Procurement Act 2023
