CMA is delighted to be working with a long-standing Southampton based charity organisation who are currently looking to appoint a Payroll Manager for thirty hours per week. This is a unique opportunity to manage the in-house payroll function from start to finish and playing a lead role in improving efficiencies and optimising processes. The role will offer flexible hours to suit and upon completion of training, you will have the option to work a hybrid model.
What will the Payroll Manager role involve?
1. Assist with bringing the payroll function in-house
2. Manage end to end payroll process
3. Calculate and process employee payments ensuring tax codes, overtime hours etc actively input
4. Manage the resolution of payroll queries
5. Complete HMRC returns, reconcile PAYE accounts and make payments to HMRC
6. Complete end of year payroll reporting (P60's, P11D's, PAYE)
7. Manage the pension auto-enrolment process and ongoing compliance
8. Develop financial payroll reports
Suitable Candidate for the Payroll Manager vacancy:
1. Experience of running and managing an in-house payroll process
2. Current knowledge of HMRC payroll legislation and regulations
3. Proficient in the use of Excel
4. A really strong team ethos with a proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously
