In your role you will act as the expert, advisor and key contact to a specific business area in all matters relating to learning and development. To make a real difference to business performance by working closely with line management and individuals to interpret, design, deliver and evaluate learning and development interventions that meet the business needs. Provide HRBP support as and when needed.
What you’ll do:
1. Partner with the Operating Unit Senior Management and Leadership Team to understand the needs of their teams and plans to address both short and long term requirements with a focus on addressing any skills gaps for the sector.
2. Facilitate the delivery of training interventions, based on the requirements of the Operating Unit e.g. PDR’s, local team builds etc. Where capacity is an issue, utilise the L&D PSL to call off from trusted providers.
3. Lead the Operating Unit quarterly Talent Review meetings and demonstrate tangible outputs in relation to the development of key critical role successors from the Operating Unit Talent Review
4. Lead the development of technical skills for key job roles based on the analysis of the technical skills gaps, support business in delivery of upskilling in key priority areas and using learning needs analysis where required
5. Support the Operating Unit Early Careers agenda to develop and implement the strategy for Graduates, Trainees and Apprentices and employees working towards Qualifications/Charterships, supporting to managers to ensure smooth delivery of structured development programmes and placements
6. Ensure delivery of company induction policy within OU including, providing the escalation point for GDPR and code of conduct training noncompliance (ie. new starters meeting the KPI timescales)
7. Demonstrate role modelling of, and be Ambassador for, HR Business partnering across your areas.
8. Develop a thorough understanding of how the projects are commercially viable and add value through people related activities
9. Develop robust relationships with managers, and gain their respect in order to be able to influence decision making
10. Manage employee relations matters effectively to promote a high performance culture
11. Support Senior HRBP in execute all annual events effectively to promote performance related remuneration.
12. Effectively champion the engagement survey and outputs to leverage engagement levels across the Operating Unit and work with areas which require intervention
