Job Type: Full time/part-time.
Dinnington St John’s Town Council are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Town Clerk and Finance Officer to deliver exceptional support/advisory services to its 15 Town Councillors and the wider community. Flexible working arrangements will be considered and other benefits include generous annual leave, pension scheme and excellent training and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative support to the council to achieve its objectives including professional and legal advice on council procedures.
2. Management of the council staff.
3. Management of the council’s finances.
4. Liaison with external partners to achieve desired outcomes.
5. Support to council meetings including evenings.
Requirements:
1. Must be IT literate with experience in Microsoft Office.
2. Experience with Scribe Accounts is desirable but not essential.
3. Relevant experience is an advantage, but training in local government administration will be provided.
4. Applicants should preferably hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration qualification or be willing to commence studies upon appointment.
