About the role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of key public sector contracts. This is a critical role within the organisation, requiring a strong technical understanding, exceptional relationship management skills, and proven commercial acumen. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall performance and profitability of these accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and driving business growth. Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of multiple public sector sites, ensuring service delivery meets and exceeds contractual obligations. Oversee a substantial P&L, with responsibility for budget management, forecasting, and revenue generation. Manage and coordinate the activities of 3rd party contractors, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and quality standards. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations Negotiate contracts and service agreements. Monitor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed. Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management. The Ideal Candidate: Essential Engineering background Proven experience of managing multiple public sector sites. Demonstrable experience of managing a P&L of significant value Experience of managing and coordinating 3rd party contractors. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as 1 part of a team.
