Job summary Regional Hyperacute Rehabilitation unit is looking to recruit an Associate Practitioner to complement and join our nursing team. The post holder will work under supervision and on their own initiative delivering care to patients with complex neurological injuries. Providing holistic, patient centered, goal oriented rehabilitation programs to patients with a variety of neurological conditions. Main duties of the job The post holder will be involved in the delivery of nursing care with the level of knowledge, skill and competence beyond that of a traditional healthcare assistant. Working under indirect supervision, as part of the nursing team, the post holder will have responsibility for delivering nursing care to patients within a delegated caseload. To participate in multidisciplinary working and the development, implementation and evaluation of the delivery of health care services. Work within a scope of practice under the direction or supervision of the registered Nurse within relevant legal and ethical frameworks and in accordance with organisational protocols and policies. Work under indirect supervision following the written care plans and care pathways devised by the registered nurse, in order to deliver nursing care and support to patients and relatives/carers. To accept clinical responsibility for managing a delegated caseload as appropriate to grade and experience. Demonstrate self- directed development and practice. Works co-operatively with others in the ward in ensuring good inter-disciplinary team work.
