Health and Safety Manager required for our client a leading renewable energy company. They are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager who has a background in Construction, ideally within Scaffolding. The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for promoting a professional Health and Safety culture within the business, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards. You must hold your NEBOSH Health and Safety General Certificate and experience within this role previously. Health and Safety Manager Benefits: • Salary £38,000-£50,000 per annum (based on experience) • 23 days holiday bank holidays (increases with service) • Company bonus scheme • KPI bonus scheme • Company vehicle and Fuel card • Mobile • Laptop • Tablet • Pension Scheme Responsibilities: • Developing and revising Health and Safety policies, safe systems of work, and working procedures. • Carrying out site audits, preparing reports, and monitoring closure of actions required. • Providing individual coaching on risk assessments and safe systems of work. • Investigating accidents/incidents and preparing reports. • Providing H&S coaching to Site Managers and Installers. • Assisting with developing and driving forward key H&S initiatives. • Ensuring safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and alarm tests are conducted, lone working procedures are managed, and employees are aware of their responsibilities. • Keeping up-to-date with relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicating relevant changes to the business. • Any other tasks that are reasonably assigned to you by the Managing Director. Requirements: • NEBOSH Health and Safety General Certificate (Essential) • Relevant qualification / Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent professional body (Desirable) • Experience as a Health and Safety Officer, including experience undertaking risk assessments (Essential) • Experience providing advice and guidance on health and safety to management and employees at all levels (Essential) • Experience in investigation of incidents, accidents, and recommending preventative measures (Essential) • Background in Construction • Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to ongoing change (Essential) • Ability to meet deadlines, and support others to do the same (Essential) • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build effective working relationships with other organisations and colleagues and work collaboratively with colleagues (Essential) • Excellent organisational skills (Essential) • Excellent IT skills and ability to effectively use computer software packages i.e. Microsoft Office (Essential)
