It’s an exciting stage in our growth and we’re seeking a dynamic 1st Line / 2nd Line IT Support Engineer who shares our values to become part of the team.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Although not limited to, the principal responsibilities include:
* Troubleshooting a variety of hardware and software. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems to senior technicians.
* Logging and managing requests.
* Monitoring systems, performing repairs, upgrades, installations and other routine tasks.
* Being the first point of contact for customers both in person and remotely, logging and resolving calls using the set procedures.
* Escalating issues as and when necessary.
Knowledge & Skills:
* Interest in IT: A genuine passion for technology and a desire to build a career in IT.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Entry Requirements:
* 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
* GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
* Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject.
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance, you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
