Private Client Solicitor/Lawyer (3PQE+)
I'm working with a respected Legal 500 firm, growing and looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor/Lawyer to join their friendly team in Bristol. If you enjoy working closely with clients on estate administration, Trusts, Wills, tax planning, and Lasting Powers of Attorney, this could be the perfect role for you.
You’ll be a key part of the team, offering expert advice tailored to each client’s needs. Your role will involve everything from handling client matters and supervising support staff to staying up to date with legal changes and providing training for fee earners.
You’ll also play a part in business development and ensuring financial best practices, all while working within regulatory requirements. Most importantly, you’ll be part of a team that values collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and client-focused service.
The firm prides itself on being a bit different. They’re well-known in the Bristol legal market for excellent service, but also for the way they look after their people. Work-life balance isn’t just something they talk about - it’s something they genuinely support.
Ideally, you'll be a qualified Solicitor with at least 3PQE, or an FCILEx with expertise in Wills, LPAs, Trusts, and estate and Trust Administration. If you have experience with Trust work and a strong understanding of tax matters (including IHT, CGT, and Income Tax), even better. A STEP qualification (or a willingness to work towards one) would be a plus, and if you’ve managed a team before, that’s a great advantage too.
This is a full-time role, with office hours from 9-5. You’ll be based in Bishopston, with the option for hybrid working post probation.
On offer is a comprehensive benefits package, including a minimum of 25 days' holiday (with the potential for more through tenure or purchase schemes), flexible and hybrid working options, pension contributions, death-in-service benefits, and annual bonuses. Employees receive support for professional development, discounted legal services, childcare vouchers, season ticket loans, health cash plans, and access to a virtual GP and counselling services. Social perks include summer and Christmas events, long service awards, and opportunities to join committees focused on charity, diversity, wellbeing, and staff development.
If this sounds like the kind of firm and role you’d love to be part of, reach out!
