Year 1 Teacher - Nelson (BB9)
January 2024 Start (temporary to permanent opportunity)
Position: Full-Time
Pay: £140 - £180 per day (before AWR comes into effect)
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a vibrant school community in Nelson, starting in January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced, fully qualified teachers who are eager to make a positive impact on young learners.
As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that support the academic and emotional development of our pupils. You will be responsible for creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn. This is a full-time position, and you will be working closely with other members of the teaching team to plan, implement, and assess the curriculum.
We are seeking an individual who has a genuine passion for teaching young children and is committed to helping them reach their full potential. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher or a more experienced educator, you should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work well within a team. You will be responsible for monitoring and assessing students’ progress, providing feedback, and building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an ECT who is eligible to work in the UK. You should be able to create engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning, while also fostering a positive and disciplined classroom environment. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, dedicated, and enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of children.
