Substation Installation & Commissioning Supervisor for an iconic Offshore Wind project in the UK, working onshore then following the work offshore. Collaborate with electrical installation and commissioning supervisors, ensure site coordination, oversee quality, safety, and compliance, and supervise installation and commissioning contractors.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with electrical installation and commissioning supervisors, fostering trust and strong professional relationships with stakeholders.
* Ensure day-to-day site coordination between contractors and internal teams for installation, electrical outfitting, testing, and commissioning.
* Oversee quality, safety, and compliance during electrical installation, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
* Participate in planning, toolbox talks, and site meetings, and support commissioning activities.
* Ensure proper coordination and documentation for testing and commissioning using approved procedures.
* Report to the Electrical Installation and Commissioning Manager, monitoring contractors' deliverables.
* Assist the commissioning manager with scheduling and site coordination.
* Supervise installation and commissioning contractors, ensuring quality and safety.
* Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT/OSAT), and Site Integration Tests (SIT), documenting progress and reporting issues.
* Ensure timely maintenance of systems after first energisation.
* Act as Low Voltage Appointed Person, implementing safety measures during commissioning.
Requirements:
* Experience with installation and commissioning of electrical/electromechanical systems on onshore/offshore substations.
* Proficiency with low and high voltage systems, SCADA, communication networks, and safety systems.
* Degree or vocational training in electrical or marine engineering.
* Strong communication skills and fluent in English.
