Telecare / Support Worker Role
Based in SE London
Day time and Out-of Hours service
The Telecare service is a 24-hour emergency service for elderly and vulnerable people, supporting them to maximize their independence with the use of assistive technology in their own homes.
This role covers 2 boroughs and will require a driving licence.
Your role will involve:
1. Undertaking the day-to-day duties of a Telecare Response Officer.
2. Visiting residents and supporting them to be helped off the floor.
3. Providing first aid to the most vulnerable people in the borough.
The successful candidate will be required to work 12-hour shift patterns (4 on, 4 off), including nights, weekends, and bank holidays to support the service when needed.
Candidates will also need:
1. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
2. A good understanding of the Telecare service.
3. Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering a professional and high-quality service.
4. The ability to deal with customers who are distressed/stressed/vulnerable over the phone and in person.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. The ability to work under pressure and on their own initiative.
7. Resilience and calmness in emergencies.
8. A full UK Driving licence.
9. An Enhanced DBS Check.
