Position Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical and Automation Engineer to join our Princes Gate production facility in Pembrokeshire. You will provide support across Manufacturing Execution Systems and Electricity and Automation (E&A) across the factory, ensuring that all MES-IT/Automation activities enhance business objectives, product quality and plant performance, providing technical expertise during CAPEX Projects.

A day in the life of an Electrical and Automation Engineer
In this role as an Electrical and Automation Engineer, you will provide support to the factory and production facilities by supporting and resolving automation issues and breakdowns. Other key day to day activities will be:
1. Management of the sites PLC networks, hardware and software.
2. Management of the PLC network support contracts.
3. Responsible for providing technical support and training to Technicians and Engineers.
4. MES/Automation/FAS gap analysis compliance.
5. Ensure safe installations and operations through proper design, protection systems, procedures and training.
6. Ensure documentation including manuals, diagrams, software packages etc. are updated and correct.
7. Support CAPEX Projects across the site.
8. Manage site obsolescence plan, pro-actively identify critical areas and implement upgrades.
What will make you successful?
To be successful in this key role we expect you to ideally have experience working in a manufacturing environment and have strong service orientation amongst internal stakeholders with lots of proactive initiative and attention to detail. Other key attributes we are looking for are:
1. Previous experience of working in a similar role and environment.
2. Ideally Educated in Electrical Engineering to Degree, HNC, ONC level or completion of a recognised apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3).
3. Working Knowledge of systems such as Siemens S7, PC, PLC, Database and SCADA systems. PLC/HMI programming or Rockwell Allen Bradley would be advantageous.
4. Experience in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team (preferably including different products and technologies in Electrical and Automation areas).
5. You will be able to support with software development, including MES, Automation, HMI screen design, database design.
6. Strong and highly developed fault finding and problem analysis skills.
7. Participation in the start-up of technical equipment(s) and/or production line(s).
8. Exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning and/or maintenance execution desired but not required.
