Arbour Academy is a Pupil Health Referral Unit based in Eccles, working with young people with a range of mental health concerns. We have a very strong record of success with our pupils and maintain high levels of support for them and their family network.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team as soon as possible.
The successful applicants will be required to provide 1:1 support to a range of pupils with SEMH and a range of learning difficulties and complex needs.
We are looking for applicants who have sporting experience to deliver TPA to a small group of learners and provide classroom support. Applicants should have high expectations for all students and be committed to developing their full potential. Previous experience in working with pupils with Autism and sensory need is desirable.
Applicants are expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Possess good literacy and numeracy in order to support learning, have the ability to promote independence and confidence and be an excellent role model to all.
You must have a caring, positive and flexible attitude with a willingness to work as part of a team, and able to use your own initiative and to work without supervision.
Applicants must have the ability to work flexible hours as appropriate.
