Payment per session- TBC Closing date 6th December An exciting opportunity has arisen for a salaried GP to join Porter Valley Network in the ARRS funded GP role. We are offering a fixed term contract as part of the GP ARRS scheme for newly qualified GPs recently out of training between January 2024 -April 2025. The Porter Valley Network is a friendly, caring, innovative and forward-thinking PCN within the Southwest of Sheffield (S7 and S11). We are proud of the effective, resilient, and supportive environment across our six practices. We provide compassionate care to over 45000 patients and operate a wider social prescribing hub to support our patients health and wellbeing across our community. Five of our six practices are active in training and education. If you have an area of clinical interest you wish to develop we will support you with this. Supervision and support will be available cross all sites of working. TPP System One is the clinical system used across all our practices. As a member of our network you will work closely with a wider team, including Clinical Pharmacists, PAs, ACPs and wider nursing team. We also have a developed social prescribing team who work across all practices including Care Co-ordinators who lead on our Health and Wellbeing Hub. Main Duties Clinics at each surgery with routine and on the day appointments, Share of practice admin Possible Home visits CPD and appraisal time Job Description To work autonomously adhering to the GMC standards for good medical practice, responsible for the provision of medical services to practice population. We pride ourselves on delivering an excellent service of care whilst complying with the NHSE Contract, this involves working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team. The following are the main core responsibilities of a salaried GP. These will vary as workload dictates. 1. Provision of care as detailed in the Primary Care Contract. 2. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance. 3. Effective management of acute and long term conditions. 4. Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptions and other administrative tasks. 5. Undertake Triage and other duty doctor roles 6. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance. 7. Accepting an equal share of the practice workload by working collaboratively. 8. Work towards innovative practice and quality improvements within the practice. 9. Assist in the work towards completing QOF across all practices. 10. Attend and contribute to practice meetings as required. 11. Support with de brief of Physician Associates. 12. Support training of medical students from all clinical disciplines, this includes having students sitting in on clinics. 13. Support practices with enhancing income and reducing unnecessary expenditure. 14. Complete home visits. 15. Complete care home ward rounds as required. 16. Participate in practice audits as requested. 17. Participate in the review of significant and near miss events applying a structured root cause analysis approach. Personal Responsibilities. 1.
