We are currently looking for a Project Analyst to join our IT Operations and Service Delivery function to assist in the understanding and defining of business challenges and determining technical solutions to existing and new services.
The role will report into the IT Asset Manager and will work with the wider Technology Teams to socialise the business needs, define clear requirements, and identify technical Services and solutions.
Responsibilities:
* The role is expected to work closely with all Technology Resolver Teams and key Technology stakeholders across regions to shape the design of solutions to meet business goals.
* The role in-short term will focus on developing the Technology Service Catalogue and its management process, but in long term can extend to other parts of the IT Operations and Service Delivery functions.
* Must be a Subject Matter Expert to project and technology service delivery teams, and responsible to optimise the Service Management Processes across all the functional areas.
* Responsible to clearly articulate the Business requirements in the form of Functional specifications and Agile User stories depending on the project need.
* Has the ownership and accountability to map, maintain and suggest improvements to the IT Service Management processes utilised across the functional areas.
* Must pre-emptively and proactively identify and address delivery risks.
* Understanding strategic business needs and plans for growth.
* Enhancing the quality of IT products and services.
* Analysing the design of technology services and business models.
* Utilising IT data for business insights.
* Sourcing and implementing new business technology.
* Working with architects and SMEs to define technological solutions to business requirements.
* Producing reports on application development and implementation.
* Analysing data to inform business decisions.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Educated to degree level.
* Strong Project/Business Analyst Experience.
* Strong Foundation in Business Analysis Tool and Techniques.
* Strong experience of Business Process Re-engineering or Transformation programmes.
* Previous experience in delivering/managing/configuring eCommerce, CMS platforms, Merchandising tools and Search tools.
* Full project life cycle experience - with demonstrable knowledge of different methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile.
* Excellent engagement, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, able to articulate compelling stories and future state vision.
* Proficient in transforming Business needs into functional requirements & User Stories (using INVEST principles).
* Experience in business operating model design and Organisational Change Management.
* Highly skilled in mapping business processes/Operating Models & RACI.
* Ability to challenge the status quo and disrupt thinking, suggesting viable alternatives.
* Creative thinker, able to quickly analyse complex problems and identify appropriate solutions underpinned by logic and analytic approach.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Self-motivated, actively seeks responsibility and driven to achieve results.

This is a hybrid role with expectation of working in our Jarrow office 2-3 days per week.
