MK College Group has an exciting new opportunity for a Wellbeing and Self-development Tutor to join the team based at HMP Fosse Way, Leicester.
This internally accredited course aims to develop learners' knowledge, confidence, wellbeing, and self-esteem to assist them in finding employment on release from prison. The course covers dealing with problems proactively, developing positive relationships, and working in groups, with a focus on active listening and positive feedback.
As a successful Wellbeing Tutor, you will inspire learners and provide them with a positive learning experience. You will connect with learners in a professional manner, supporting them with their learning and enabling them to achieve success through qualifications and real-life examples.
We are seeking an individual who can communicate well with adult learners to inspire and motivate them. The average class consists of 12 students, supported by a prison mentor. Your lessons will need to be adaptable, innovative, and imaginative.
Minimum Requirements:
* Ability to communicate effectively with adult learners
* Experience in teaching or tutoring
* Ability to create engaging lesson plans
* Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment

ABOUT HMP FOSSE WAY
HMP Fosse Way is a Category C super prison, holding in excess of 1700 adult male sentenced offenders. The prison operates an offence-neutral approach to rehabilitation and is privately operated by Serco.
HMP Fosse Way's focus is firmly fixed on reducing reoffending and preventing future victims of crime by preparing offenders for their release through accredited intervention programmes, skill and vocational-based training, and education, in a pro-social environment.
The education delivery hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 11:15 am, 1:30 pm – 4:15 pm, with staff working on-site 8:10 am – 4:40 pm each day. Class sizes typically range from 12 learners in classrooms to 17 learners in workshops.
