Job overview
An opportunity has arisen within the Imaging Department to be a Pathway Team Leader, supporting across UHDB Imaging sites. Primary base will be discussed at interview, but it will include cross site working. This is a great opportunity to expand on your leadership knowledge and experience. You will be working alongside Pathway Team Leader colleagues and managing an Admin team together with collaborative working with our Clinical teams and Clinical Managers.
We are looking for two highly experienced individuals who have experience of using different trust systems, managing and monitoring patient pathways, alongside working independently as well as in a team.
Main duties of the job
You will need to have excellent demonstrable communication & relationship skills, be an enthusiastic & motivated leader & team player, with problem solving skills. You will require high levels of tact, diplomacy & confidentiality, with the ability to prioritise your own workload effectively to enabling you to day to day manage.
The main duties include;
1. Working alongside Clinical managers to ensure effective service delivery including utilisation of capacity and assessing demand.
2. Implementing and developing admin protocols and processes.
3. Managing our administration staff. Including involvement in HR processes.
4. Supporting in the delivery of training and developing our admin teams.
5. Actively involved in recruitment and retention of admin staff.
6. Collaborative working with both clinical and non clinical colleagues to develop our Service needs.
7. Working alongside Pathway Team Leader colleagues to maintain and develop our service.
Knowledge, training & experience
* A good standard of English to O level/GCSE (A-C grade) or equivalent
* NVQ III in Business and Administration or equivalent knowledge and skills
* Experience working within a busy environment
* Previous experience in an administration role/ team leading
* Knowledge of Patient Administration systems
* Experience of developing protocols / processes
* Experience in training and developing staff
Planning & Organisational Skills
* Ability to prioritise, work under pressure
* Effectively manage time and workload
* Problem solving / Identifying and escalating when appropriate
* Previous experience of planning and delivering training
* Previous experience of organising a large staff group
