The Opportunity Join IGN as a Video Producer where you will take the lead on video custom content campaigns for IGN Entertainment’s portfolio in the UK. You’ll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ideate, produce, and execute custom content campaigns for clients, as well as liaise across departments including sales and editorial. To be successful in this role you’ll need to be able to work across multiple projects simultaneously, understand best practices for video performance across platforms, have a solutions-oriented approach to challenges, and be able to deftly navigate client requests whilst upholding editorial standards. The Video Producer sits within IGN Entertainment’s Global Creative Solutions team which spans LA, New York, San Francisco, London, and Sydney. The team is responsible for conceptualizing and delivering custom campaigns for IGN Entertainment’s advertisers: these can include any combination of bespoke ad design, branded content, content sponsorship, digital and offline events, and product launches that run across multiple platforms, including .com, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, OTT, and Facebook. Campaigns can run across any number of IGN Entertainment's brands including IGN, Eurogamer, RockPaperShotgun, VG247, Humble Bundle, and GamesIndustry.biz. Key Responsibilities Self-sufficiently shoot and produce video projects as part of custom content campaigns for IGN Entertainment’s portfolio of brands. Edit both longform and social videos, with a strong understanding of - and ability to implement - best practices for video performance across platforms. Edit produce videos that other members of the team are managing; provide insightful and actionable feedback. Brainstorm ideas in response to RFPs in collaboration with creative strategists on the team. Advise on feasibility of video productions in the pre-sale process, including budget considerations. Manage comms with freelance video producers, including briefing them on projects, managing feedback rounds in post-production, and ensuring we stick to both deadlines and budgets. Create shoot schedules, shot-lists, and video treatments as needed. Advise on equipment needed for video productions and procure when needed. Research talent or influencers for custom campaigns, including outreach and quote negotiation. Additional Opportunities Host or appear as talent in custom videos Record voice overs as needed for custom video content Create motion graphics for custom videos Job Qualifications 3 years video production experience in both shooting and editing Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously Ability to be creative and brainstorm within a client’s parameters which will be appealing to IGN Entertainment’s audiences A keen eye for detail, with an ability to provide feedback on videos through the lens of quality control and technical standards Have a demonstrable passion for video games, movies, and fan culture Familiarity with Sony FX3 and Sony FX6 cameras preferred, any Black Magic cameras would be a bonus Work Environment Work Schedule: Standard full-time working schedule, M-F. On occasion, this role may require an irregular schedule due to project and shoot needs. Travel Requirements: May require travel or overnight stays based on the requirements for certain shoots. Physical Requirements: Involves office and computer-based activities, including prolonged periods of sitting or standing and frequent use of hands, fingers, and vision for tasks such as operating a computer, mouse, and keyboard. Video production activities require the ability to lift up to 25 lbs and include operating cameras, moving, loading and unloading equipment, climbing ladders, and setting lights. Occasional travel is required. Work Model: Based in the London area, with a requirement to work out of the offices 2-3 days each week.
