There are 15 boarding houses in total & 2 Hub kitchens across the site, some houses have in house Chefs. A day in the life of a Commis Chef: Preparing and cooking meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner following recipe cards. Checking all food is compliant with allergens and Natasha’s law. Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence. Sharing responsibility with the Chef /Catering Manager for the checking, probing, and signing of all food deliveries, stock ordering and maintaining kitchen records. Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries. Assisting with deliveries and stock checks, alongside daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.
