Sellick Partnership is proud to be working in partnership with Gateshead Council, supporting them with the recruitment of a Planning and Highways Lawyer to join their excellent, well-established legal services team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a brilliant, supportive team on a permanent basis and take on some varied and interesting work.
Key responsibilities of the Planning and Highways Lawyer role:
* Manage your own caseload of the planning and highway matters
* Be responsible for the drafting and negotiation of Section 106 Agreements
* Drafting traffic regulation orders, diversion orders, public path orders
* Dealing with planning enforcement matters.
* Liaise with internal and external professionals as required
Experience required for the Planning and Highways Lawyer role:
* Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.
* Candidates will need to have previous experience in planning or highways law from either a private practice or public sector setting
