About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Practice Manager to join our senior leadership team at Broadway and manage our 3 sites Heswell, Bebington and Wallasey This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong management skills who is passionate about supporting veterinary teams to deliver excellent animal care. This role will predominately be based at Heswell, but will need to commute to other sites. A vehicle will be required due to a lack of public transport. As Practice Manager, you will play a key role in the daily operations of our veterinary practice. You will work closely with the clinical team to ensure a smooth workflow and that our patients receive the highest level of care. You will manage the practice’s financials, including billing, insurance claims, and budget tracking, as well as oversee staffing, equipment, and facility maintenance. Above all, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive, client-focused environment that supports both our staff and patients. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Ensure the effective management of practice income and expenditure, oversee the processing of insurance claims, manage billing and banking, and collaborate with the Clinical Director to meet the practice's financial targets. Operational Management: Oversee the smooth operation of the practice daily, ensuring that all clinical and administra tive workflows are efficient and that any issues are addressed promptly to avoid disruption to patient care. Staffing and HR: Lead the recruitment, training, and development of practice staff, ensuring a motivated and skilled team. Foster a supportive work environment and maintain high levels of employee satisfaction and retention. Health and Safety: Work with the practice's Health and Safety Partner to ensure the practice adheres to all veterinary health and safety protocols, maintaining up-to-date documentation and providing a safe working environment for both staff and patients. Facility and Equipment Management: Ensure that the practice facilities are well-maintained and fully equipped to provide high-quality veterinary care. Oversee equipment procurement, inventory management, and regular maintenance checks. Client Experience: Maintain a welcoming, professional, and compassionate atmosphere for clients and their pets, ensuring that all client interactions are positive and that any complaints or concerns are dealt with promptly and professionally. The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a Practice Manager with strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive and professional environment. Experience in a veterinary setting is highly desirable, but we will also consider candidates with transferable skills from similar healthcare settings. In addition, you should possess : Previous experience in team management and leadership. An understanding of fi nancia l management within a veterinar y practice, including budgeting, billing, and insurance claims processing. Ensures effective management of income and expenditure and oversees insurance claims processing. Works closely with the Clinical Director to achieve financial targets and maintain the practice's financial health. Strong knowledge of veterinary practice operations and the ability to troubleshoot operational challenges effectively. A passion for delivering high standards of client and patient care. A passion for client care, with the ability to support the Client Care Manager in addressing complaints and managing patient owner q ueries effectively.
