Job Description:
Direct Medics are working in partnership with the HSCNI to find a recently qualified Band 7 level Psychologist to fulfill a long term vacancy with the Belfast Trust’s Adult Autism Psychology Service. The successful psychologist will provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to patients and families, while offering advice and consultation on patients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and other non-professional carers. This role will be for 5 days per week with no weekend or evening requirement and will last for at least 12 months.
Requirements:
1. Current HCPC registration as a Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist
2. Post-graduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) accredited by the BPS
3. Specialised experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients’ psychological care and treatment within a multidisciplinary care plan
4. Excellent understanding of complex methods of psychological/therapeutic assessment, formulation, intervention, and management
