The role of Credit Controller will monitor the debtor's ledger and ensure payments are received to the agreed terms. The role will also involve working closely with the credit team and finance director to review and improve the credit control process, providing an opportunity for the successful candidate to use their experience to make a real difference to the business.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Debt collection on multiple customer accounts
2. Handling account queries in a swift and professional manner
3. Run credit reports
4. Monitoring held orders and releasing where necessary
5. Management of any legal proceedings on accounts
6. Taking customer payments over the phone
7. Monitoring customers and performing regular credit checks to ensure credit terms continue to be suitable
8. Liaising with the Finance Directors regarding customers outside agreed credit terms
9. Allocating payments on the debtor's ledger and investigating any discrepancies
10. Reducing debtor days
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in Credit Control.
2. Excellent customer service skills
3. Good communication skills
4. Enthusiastic and motivated
