What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our dedicated team as our Assistant Headteacher. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a rewarding leadership role and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership and support the Headteacher in the overall management and development of the school
• Lead on the following areas: Maths, RE, Church Schools, Assessment, EVC and DDSL
• Contribute to the school's continuous improvement and the implementation of the school development plan
• Promote high standards of teaching and learning and support the professional development of staff
• Effectively manage the allocated non-contact time for leadership duties and PPA
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Significant experience in a senior leadership role within a primary school setting
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment procedures
• Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents
• Commitment to promoting the school's Christian ethos and values
Desirable Qualities:
• Experience in leading and managing specific subject areas
• Proven track record of driving school improvement and raising standards
• Ability to think strategically and implement innovative ideas
• Passion for providing a well-rounded education that fosters a love of learning
