Regional Business Change Manager ( North West Region )
NHS AfC: Band 8b
Arden & GEM is a leading Commissioning Support Unit (CSU) working across the health and care system in England to provide transformational solutions, business support and clinical services. We work in partnership with other health and care organisations to design, develop and deliver better care for patients that improves health outcomes while making efficient use of resources.
Our services are built on a strong foundation of experienced people who build great relationships, a commitment to NHS values and a thorough understanding of our clients and the challenges they face.
Job overview
In this role, you will oversee the successful adoption of the Federated Data Platform across NHS Trusts and Integrated Care Boards in your region. You will act as the key contact for Trust resources responsible for business change, ensuring effective implementation and embedding of FDP within operational workflows to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
The FDP connects data systems to manage patient care seamlessly across Trusts, eliminating communication barriers and reducing burdens for patients and staff. In your first year, you will focus on improving adoption at Trusts already using FDP, expanding to new organisations in year two.
Main duties of the job
* Oversee the adoption and implementation of the FDP in your region, supporting Trusts and ICBs to realise the benefits of data-driven healthcare.
* Establish and manage a regional Change Network, sharing best practices and coordinating training, support, and communications.
* Conduct change impact assessments and ensure staff readiness for system adoption.
* Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of business change initiatives.
* Support Trusts in meeting key delivery milestones and embedding new operational ways of working.
Working for our organisation
The Federated Data Platform
NHS England’s Data and Analytics Directorate is driving the transformation to put patients in control of their data, support clinicians, decision-makers, and researchers with real-time, high-quality data, and empower the NHS Data Community to leverage their skills for high-value opportunities. We pride ourselves on our dedication, creativity, and values-driven approach to improving decision-making across health and care, helping people live healthier, longer lives.
The NHS relies on data every day to manage patient care and plan services, but it is often stored in systems that don’t communicate with each other, creating burdens for both patients and staff. The Federated Data Platform connects these systems, allowing each Trust and Integrated Care Board to manage their own customised version, enhancing data integration and care coordination.
