Job Introduction
BCP Leisure's Rossmore Leisure is a multi-award winning leisure facility which serves a brilliant community in Poole.
Our membership base is strong and drives our passion for development and continual improvement of the service. The leisure centre offers over 60 fitness classes each week, modern and well-maintained fitness suites, a range of pool-based activities, and children-specific activities.
Role Purpose
To have operational responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the leisure facility. This would include overseeing staff on shift, activity and equipment changeovers, completing mandatory and statutory checks in line with health and safety policy. Cover is predominantly required for evenings and weekends.
Main Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the day-to-day operation of fitness facilities.
2. Ensure all customer care is adequately met.
3. Ensure that all facilities are clean and comply with health and safety standards.
4. Provide staff supervision and promote a positive, professional, and enthusiastic working environment.
5. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the designated leisure facility.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate would have experience in working in the leisure industry; ideally in a similar capacity and with a good understanding of the challenges and requirements of managing a busy and dynamic leisure facility. They would have excellent problem-solving skills, be flexible, adaptable, and approachable. They would be able to deal with customer comments or enquiries in a professional way.
The candidate would have an excellent understanding of Health and Safety and be able to apply the knowledge in the leisure setting.
This role is required throughout the year so would not be available as a 'term time only' option.
The job role requires shift work to cover all operational hours of the facility, we are looking for individuals who can join our team of Duty Officers to cover during absences or to assist with additional workloads.
Hours of operation are: Monday to Friday 06:00-22:30 and weekends 06:30-18:30.
