Job Title: Sub-Project Manager – Construction
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £48,000 – depending on skills & experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Managing major construction project lifecycles inline with the Facilities master plan
* Forecasting, controlling, reporting against all commercial and aspects of the project from concept to completion
* Discharging client duties in accordance with Regulatory requirements
* Maintaining and managing a safety-focused environment and culture aligned with the high-risk nature of the projects
* Providing focus to drive projects and work packages
* Liaising with contractors and multiple stakeholders across all levels of the business
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Experience managing complex, major projects of multi-million-pound value
* Experience in the construction of MEICA projects
* Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g. Prince2 or APMQ) or equivalent experience
* HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
Desirable:
* Project management experience with development of plans, business cases and Risk management processes

The Programme and Delivery Infrastructure team:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the LEV Programme at Barrow-in-Furness. The programme involves upgrading LEV systems to modern standards, improving the work environment for current and future teams. You’ll be joining a developing team where you’ll expand your skillset and gain exposure across the wider business. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
