Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Watford
(37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor seeking a new and rewarding challenge? We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Regional South team. Based in London, Watford, or Chelmsford.
Key Responsibilities
·Take charge of managing costs for construction and civil engineering projects, ensuring all expenditures align with budgets.
·Maintain strict budget control to keep projects within financial targets.
·Provide strategic financial and commercial insights to project teams.
·Draft tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
·Track costs throughout each project phase to support financial accuracy.
· Identify and assess commercial risks, implementing strategies to address them effectively.
·Oversee procurement, payments, and final accounts for subcontractors.
·Ensure all projects meet relevant health, safety, and quality standards.
What We're Looking For
· Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within construction or engineering.
·Solid understanding of construction contracts, tender processes, and cost management.
· Strong analytical abilities with a high attention to detail.
·Ability to balance multiple projects and tasks effectively.
·Strong communicator with effective negotiation skills.
· Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
·Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is a plus but not essential.
