Merchiston Castle School is seeking to appoint a dynamic Teacher of Spanish to our thriving Languages Department, part of the Faculty of Languages and Literatures. Although this is advertised as a full-time post, we are open to discussing variations on this.
As Scotland’s only independent boarding school for boys, Merchiston’s genuine focus is on the needs of each pupil and understanding how to help him thrive. With the support of our caring community, each boy is encouraged to unearth his talents, pursue excellence and flourish in myriad ways.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in the Languages Department, teaching Spanish up to A Level and Advanced Higher. The successful candidate will have a proven record of successful teaching practices and tailoring programmes to pupils’ needs. They will demonstrate commitment to safeguarding children and young people, excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for education.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
