About the job
Responsible for all activities associated with Industrial Sales and Marketing and the profitable growth and development of J & E Hall's Industrial Product Sales.
Main Responsibilities
1. Develops and directs strategic sales planning which includes an analysis of competitive products and selling techniques, market share, pricing and distribution.
2. Identifies and establishes agreements and manages organisations action for the company as agents or distributors.
3. Prepares sales reports to monitor progress and produces sales forecasts to develop or modify sales plans to achieve established objectives.
4. Manages the Industrial Sales and Marketing Teams – including recruitment, training, development, performance appraisals, objective setting and monitoring.
5. Identifies and exploits new business opportunities, specifically additional products that the Company should be developing in order to satisfy market demands.
6. Controls pricing decisions within designated limits.
7. Conducts sales negotiations within specified limits of authority.
8. Assist Marketing in developing marketing tools.
9. Ensure that the Company’s technical and Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental standards are maintained and to make recommendations for improvements as necessary.
10. Respects and maintains Company confidentiality.
11. Complies with the requirements of health and safety practices as outlined in the Company Health and Safety Procedures.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Required Experience
1. Previous sales experience, within the Industrial Products Sector.
2. Computer literate.
3. Intermediate level in Excel, conversant with V Look Up/Pivot Tables.
4. Ability to use Microsoft packages, including Outlook, Word & PowerPoint.

We also support the sale of our own commercial and industrial products with a comprehensive range of spares for commercial condensing units, cellar coolers and HallScrew compressors.
The business is supported by a dedicated sales, technical and warehouse function. The Company’s central purchasing and marketing departments are also based out of the Derby office.
