Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts and we are currently looking for Nursery Teaching Assistant. The role is in the nursery class of a mainstream Primary School and they are looking a Nursery Teaching Assistant with recent, relevant experience and a Level 3 Qualification. Starting at the end of January, this Nursery Teaching Assistant role is full time, initially for 1 month with the potential to be extended.
The position is at a two form entry school, rated “Good” under the former Ofsted ratings for schools and prides itself on offering a dynamic and engaging environment for its students. Friendship is at the core of the school’s values and they value and advocate positivity for every student.
Nursery Teaching Assistant Role:
* Able to support the students in the class under the direction of the class teacher
* Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
* Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
* Ability to support students, on a whole class, small group and one to one basis, and encourage their progression
* Be able to lead the nursery class and deliver activities professionally
* Comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively
Nursery Teaching Assistant Requirements:
* Recent experience working in a Primary School or Nursery
* A relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification is essential
* SEND experience is desirable
