About The Role We are looking for a Wellbeing Practitioner to join the team at Compass Be. The role will support children and young people in educational and community settings to improve their mental health and emotional wellbeing. A caseload of children and young people will be held, supporting the team around the family, completing early help assessments, and working alongside other professionals to achieve mutual goals. Interventions include 1-1 psychoeducation tailored to individual needs to access wellbeing support. Compass has a successful track record in early intervention health and wellbeing services for children and young people using a wide range of creative and dynamic methods of engagement, including digital interventions, across community and educational settings. Adopting a values-based approach is central to our work; through collaboration and co-production with stakeholders, our services continuously evolve, directing resources based on evidenced need. About You You will have experience or a passion for working with children with adverse childhood experiences and special educational needs. Experience in delivering direct wellbeing support, including psychoeducational workshops, 1-1 direct interventions, and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, is required. The post holder will support service development and embed services within educational and community settings in Barnsley, managing a caseload of children and young people with ACES or SEN, involving assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for the child or young person's parent or carer. The role also includes developing and disseminating care packages which may involve various interventions for children and young people, and collaboration with parents and teaching staff, both individually and in groups. The post holder will provide specialist support, consultation, and training to staff within the service and other agencies when appropriate.
