To enable your success, we provide the best tools, training and leaders in the industry.\n\nJob Title: Head of Projects\n \nCBRE Global Workplace Solutions, leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, are recruiting a Head of Projects to join the team located in London.\n\nPurpose Of The Job\n\nOwn and deliver the business unit project plan, developing and leading their teams in the safe delivery of projects ensuring sufficient training and development of talent.\nHave overall responsibility for generating a sales pipeline to deliver revenue to the BU and projects are secured and delivered on time and within the financial requirements and margins as specified by the business.
Building external relationships with clients and supply partners to deliver major projects\nEnsure that all projects adhere and are managed to commercial agreements / contracts compliant with statutory regulations, are QHSE compliant and meet technical industry standards.Key Responsibilities\n\nEnsure the safe delivery of projects through the management of risk and competence.\nRecruit and retain talent for the present delivery and future growth of projects.\nProvide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities.\nDeliver contractual commitments on secured projects.\nEnsure projects are delivered on all maintenance contracts.\nComplete projects in line with local playbooks on time, on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties.\nIdentify, reduce and manage all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise) associated with each and every project.\nMaximise profit through cost reductions and better buying of subcontractor services.\nPlan and develop long term opportunities by creating a pipeline of opportunities.\nLiaise with colleagues managers to determine and identify project opportunities. Create case studies to promote business and host key decision makers on show site tours.\nDevelop and manage all bids, tenders and proposals.\nResponsible for generating and securing new sales to exceed the annual financial plan.\nSeek out opportunities to generate projects through innovation and different technologies.\nLead the sales process through solutions development, participation in presentations and consultation meetings.\nIdentify and win project through effective relationships.\nDeliver supportive business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other applications as appropriate.\nPromote and maintain the core values of CBRE.\nSupport development of team members\nContribute to Business unit strategy development\nDelivery wider strategy and new process delivery across projects business ensuring compliance with projects business governance.\nManage Business unit forecast\nManage people issues and underperformance\nNegotiate contractual obligations and disputes upstream and downstream\nChair monthly and ad hoc project review meetings covering all aspects of Health & Safety / CDM Legislation and requirements\nAccountabilities\n\nAccountability to the Business Unit Leader (directly) and Divisional Project Director (indirectly)\nGeneration of project opportunities by building strong effective working relationships with our customers and site teams.\nFull P & L responsibility for Business Unit\nAccountable as line manager for others.\nCompliance with CBRE management policies and procedures.\nEnsure compliance with CBRE health and safety policy and process whilst ensuring that they are effectively implemented across both CBRE and its subcontractor's activities. These are to be regularly audited and reviewed.\nPerson Specification\n \nEducation \n\nRecognised technical qualification in Construction, Mechanical or Electrical or similar (desirable)\nDegree level qualification in Project Management (desirable)\nTraining \n\nDegree level qualification within project management, construction management or equivalent (desirable)\nBusiness standard of written and verbal literacy and numeracy\nAPM certified (desirable)\nPrince 2 certified (desirable)\nCDM regulations\nSMSTS certified\nNebosh certified\nCSCS card holder\nIOSH (desirable)Experience \n\nProven track record safely delivering exceptional projects in either an M&E, FM, construction, or critical environments.\nExperience of developing new project opportunities\nProven experience of running a P&L\nDemonstrable evidence of having managed a team\nExperience of creating, presenting and managing on bids, tenders and proposals
