Main duties of the job
The physiotherapist will work with the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) for the planning and delivery of physiotherapy, including the care of musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries. To select, assess, diagnose, and manage patients referred to the Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility (PCRF) and organise onward referral as appropriate. Acting as a source of advanced clinical expertise in the management of MSK dysfunction and provide an advisory service to patients, other senior physiotherapists, Healthcare Professionals and General Practitioners (GPs) within the practice.
Job responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
* Undertaking the role of Advanced Physiotherapist as the Clinical Governance Lead within PCRF. This involves the selection, assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients referred to the PCRF and organise onward referral as appropriate.
* Acting as the clinical lead of the PCRF you will be responsible for its management. This will include assessing, diagnosing, and treating complex patients referred for physiotherapy including assessment and treatment planning. It will also include supporting and managing the PCRF team composed of a Band 6 and an Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor (ERI).
* Working with the SMO in the planning and delivery of physiotherapy, including the care of MSK injuries. You are to lead in the development of service delivery of physiotherapy including rehabilitation within the PCRF and surrounding units.
* Acting as a source of clinical expertise in the management of musculoskeletal dysfunction and provide an advisory service to patients, other senior physiotherapists, Healthcare Professionals and General Practitioners (GP's) within the practice when required.

Person Specification
Registration and Memberships
* State Registered Physiotherapist (HCPC)
* Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapist (MCSP)
* Please provide your membership registration number.
* You are required to be registered with the relevant professional body, as detailed in the advert, prior to submitting your application.
* Your application will not progress should you fail to provide a valid membership registration number.
Experience
* Knowledge, training, and experience to masters level or equivalent.
* Proven experience in the assessment and treatment of musculo-skeletal, sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions.
* Proven experience in the application of mobilisation and manipulation techniques.
Qualifications
* Degree in Physiotherapy plus additional specialist training or experience to master's level or equivalent.
