Job Description
Position: Senior/Principal Building Services Engineer
Location: Warrington
Type: Permanent / Contract
We’re hiring a skilled Senior/Principal Building Services Engineer with nuclear industry expertise to enhance our team. You'll help deliver safe, efficient building service solutions with proficiency in Revit and UK standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Delivery:
Design and manage building services (HVAC, piping) for nuclear facilities.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders for seamless integration.
2. Design & Modelling:
Use Revit for 3D modeling, ensuring project requirements are met.
Generate detailed drawings, layouts, and construction documents.
Implement BIM standards, ensuring industry and project compliance.
3. Technical Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure designs meet UK regulatory and nuclear safety standards.
Perform calculations to maintain design integrity and resilience.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and quality control.
4. Project Coordination & Communication:
Collaborate with project managers and site teams on timelines and deliverables.
Provide clear technical documentation for installations and maintenance.
Attend client meetings, presenting designs and addressing queries.
5. Sustainability & Efficiency:
Integrate sustainable design and energy-efficient technologies.
Contribute to lifecycle cost analysis, focusing on long-term sustainability.
Qualifications
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2. Extensive experience in regulated industries, ideally nuclear.
3. Familiarity with UK Statutory Regulations and design standards.
4. Proficient in Revit for building services in regulated environments.
5. Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
6. Understanding of 3D space management, Autodesk CAD, Navisworks Viewer.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
1. Chartered Engineer (CEng) or pursuing Chartered status.
2. Familiarity with Sellafield Limited Design Guides.
