Role Overview:
As a Fire Sprinkler Estimator, you will be a key player in our estimating team, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for commercial sprinkler projects ideally a strong understanding of sprinklers, wet/dry & hydrants standards is beneficial. This role involves collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
* Collaborate with project managers, project engineers, and subcontractors to understand project requirements.
* Review technical specifications and project documents to develop detailed cost estimates.
* Measure and quantify sprinkler heads, pipework, and other components.
* Conduct site surveys as needed to gather necessary information for accurate estimation.
* Assess and cost values of contracts, preparing tender documentation, presentations, and submittals.
* Send enquiries to the supply chain and manage responses.
* Mentor and support department trainees.
* Familiarize yourself with and apply basic LPCB regulations.
* Potential managerial responsibilities for the right candidate.
* Experience: At least 5 years’ experience as a Senior Sprinkler System Estimator, Sprinkler Installation Estimating Engineer, or a similar role within the commercial sprinkler sector.
* Qualifications: Familiarity with basic LPCB regulations and LPCB qualifications are highly beneficial.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency with CAD software is highly preferable. Knowledge of BS EN 12845 is required.
* Industry Background: Previous experience within the construction industry and a basic understanding of MEP services.
Work Arrangement:
* Hybrid Role: Office attendance is required at least 4 days a week, with the possibility of future hybrid work arrangements.
