The Role
Working closely with the Seafood Procurement Team to support the management of incoming seafood raw materials to Sofina UK, ensuring compliance to UK import regulations, maintaining stock targets and the ongoing supply of materials to our factories.

Key Accountabilities
1. Raise and communicate purchase orders with suppliers to facilitate timely procurement of materials and supplies.
2. Monitor and manage stock levels within agreed budgets to optimise inventory control.
3. Track incoming materials against supply schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
4. Liaise with shipping agents, transportation companies, HMRC, etc., to minimise disruptions to daily business activities.
5. Analyse demand versus supply to identify any shortages or excess stock and report findings to the Purchasing and Customer Service departments.
6. Manage substitutions to ensure continuous supply in cases where the main item is unavailable.
7. Generate various stock and supply reports using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to facilitate reviews with the Purchasing and Finance teams.
8. Oversee customs clearance, bond and RMQA release, and end-use management.
9. Prepare comprehensive reports, utilising Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, to provide valuable insights to the management team.
10. Identify, report, and manage slow-moving and obsolete stocks effectively.
11. Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers to ensure seamless collaboration and favourable terms.
12. Attend monthly site meetings related to New Product Development (NPD) and Supply.
Skills And Experience Required
1. Proven experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or a related field.
2. Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to generate reports and presentations.
3. Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
4. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with various stakeholders.
5. Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
6. Analytical mindset with the capability to identify and address supply-related issues.
7. Familiarity with customs clearance processes and regulatory compliance is advantageous.
8. Self-motivated and proactive approach to problem-solving.
9. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
